...the template color is not green in honor of the Spartans who, by the way, really disappointed me this week. We are prepping for St. Patrick's Day or as Pat refers to it, "The Borzenski's Second Christmas." Hope that's not blasphemous...
I also added a little item I will call (for now) "Quotes by Lillie." She just says so many funny things I have to document them somehow!

Chocolate milk, ice cream, and popsicles
Treats for kids, right? Not in this household this week. These have been the "master" disguises for getting Lillie to take Tylenol and Motrin. She's had a fever since Monday. It goes away with the medicine but then comes right back. Today is looking up, it's been quite mild... keeping my fingers crossed!
Unfortunately, this sickness caused us to miss a trip to the pool on Monday. One of these days I will learn not to tell a 3 year old about an event until you are in the car en route to the destination. She was so sad that she missed it on Monday. So, on Tuesday morning she decided she needed to "rest." She crawled in her bed and I thought "Oh good, at least she'll get a little more sleep." 30 minutes later I hear patter of little feet upstairs. She then comes downstairs and says "Mom, I'm ready to go to the pool."

Just about broke my heart. Although, I'm pretty impressed that she got her PJs off and a two piece swimsuit on all by herself. I'm not falling for the "I can't do it!" anymore...
Meanwhile, Charlotte is sprouting her 3rd tooth. She remains my little "lazy baby". She shows no sign of wanting to crawl, just content on sitting on her tush. Here she is demonstrating her amazing ability to grab a toy 3 feet in front of her. haha. Not that far, but close.

And, just for fun, here are some pictures taken by Lillie. I think she's got some potential! Here are "Princess Bear" and a "Duck Party" (the hearts are their "treat").

The Curl Is Gone...
It's gone away for good. Oh, the curl is gone baby. Baby it's gone away for good.

I think every mother out there dreads the first haircut. And I'm not talking about the time you frantically pull out the scissors because peanut butter, candy, or some other sticky agent is in your child's hair and you have no other choice. I'm talking about a conscious decision to lop it off. OK, maybe it's worse when you have little girl whose paternal side has not one curl on any one's head in the whole family and you know, you just know, with that snip of those curls... they are not comin' back. But I had to do it. The tangles, the screaming because of those tangles... it had to be done. Saturday after Lillie's bath I said casually, "maybe I'll cut Lillie's hair." Lillie said "Don't cut my neck!" Then I said "Well, maybe I shouldn't." Pat said "I'll do it!" Oh man, no you won't... let me get my scissors.
I bundled the curls and tied them in a pink ribbon and put them in an envelope. Someday, when Lillie is complaining about having straight hair (because girls with straight hair want it curly, and girls with curly hair want it straight) I'll pull out these little things and say "Blame your Daddy." Just kidding, Pat!
